We are Emily and Charlotte, two sisters who have spent the last twenty years dressing women for the moments that matter.

It started simply enough. We were tired of the same problem, beautiful occasions on the horizon and nothing in the wardrobe that felt quite right. Everything was either too young, too stiff, too fast, or simply made for someone else. The high street had moved on without us, chasing a customer half our age, leaving an entire generation of women quietly overlooked.

We knew we were not alone. We saw it in the women around us, our mothers, our aunts, our closest friends. Women who had raised families, built careers, travelled the world and found their confidence somewhere along the way. Women with excellent taste and no patience for frumpy. Women who wanted to look genuinely beautiful without spending hours searching for it.

So we built Emily and Charlotte around one idea: that elegant, feminine and flattering should never be this hard to find.

 

We started with a small collection of dresses chosen entirely on feeling. How the fabric moved. How the silhouette sat. Whether we would wear it ourselves to the kind of occasion we were designing for. A garden wedding. A summer birthday dinner. A long lunch in the sunshine with people you love. A weekend away somewhere warm. Those are the moments we think about when we choose every single piece.

Twenty years on, the idea has not changed. We still choose every dress the same way. We hold it up, we ask ourselves whether the woman we have in mind would feel wonderful wearing it, and if the answer is anything less than yes, it goes back. Our collection is deliberately considered rather than vast. We would rather offer thirty dresses we genuinely believe in than three hundred that simply fill a page.

The woman we dress is not chasing trends. She has long since stopped buying things she will wear once and forget.
